Aashiq Awara was directed by Umesh Mehra in the year 1993.
The movie stars Saif Ali Khan and Mamta Kulkarni in lead roles. Other star cast includes Pankaj Dheer, Satish Shah, Kader Khan, Saeed Jaffrey, Rakesh Bedi, Guddi Maruti, Naveen Nischol, Sharat Saxena, Archana Puran Singh, Sharmila Tagore, Mohnish Behl, Ghanshyam, Viju Khote and Achyut Potdar.The movie falls under the genre of romance.The movie tells the story of an orphan whose parents were killed in an accident. The movie emerges at the screen with the brutal murder of a taxi driver Diler Singh ( Naveen Nischal ), when he tried to help a rich business man Kedarnath ( Saeed Jaffrey ) from a group of gangsters who were trying to rob him. After his death, Kedarnath decided to support his wife and young son but this was also foiled by his foe, he plotted some other women with a child at her place and killed her instead. Jimmy ( Saif Ali Khan ), the son of Diler was left stranded on the footpaths.And thus the story goes. Movie is nice and was considered a hit at Box Office.
Music is given by duo Laxmikant Pyarelal.Songs are well sung by Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik and Amit Kumar.
