Star Cast:
The movie stars Jeetendra, Sridevi and Sarika in lead roles. Other supporting star cast includes Kader Khan, Aruna Irani, Ashok Kumar, Shakti Kapoor, Raza Murad, Brahmachari, Birbal, Master Ravi, T.R. Narayan, Yasmin etc in important roles.
Movie Review:
The movie Akalmand is a film of tragedy, mystery, love affairs and bad habits. Movie starts by showing a young man named Dr. Kiran ( Jeetendra ) who belongs to a rich family and spends a wealthy lifestyle.He belongs to a punjabi background and loves drinking and likes to be with girls. He spends nights with them and has many affairs.One fine day, he comes across a beautiful girl Priya ( Sridevi ), who belongs to a Tamil family. He gets attracted towards her and both fell in love. Being from different family backgrounds they marry and lead a new wed life.But times are not the same, soon Priya comes to know about his bad habits. She suspects him that he is having an affair. Days passes and Priya goes to her parent's house for a picnic. Now Kiran is free and a bachelor again. He comes back to his doings and visits a bar. There he finds a bar dancer Lulu ( Aruna Irani ) and goes off with her. They both spend a night. But in morning Kiran finds that Lulu id dead. He is shocked. He tries to hide this truth and throws off Lulu's body in a river. He returns home and tries to lead a normal life. But police gets the dead body and they come to Kiran's house on proof that Lulu hired the last taxi to Kiran's House.Now that story gains more and more interest.
Overall, movie is good and entertaining. Moreover it has a message and gives the lesson of being good and pure, away from the bad character. Movie was nominated for several awards and did well at Box Office.
Music And Singers:
Music of the movie is composed by famous duo Lakshmikant-Pyarelal. Songs are sung well in beautiful voices of Kishore Kumar, S. Janaki and Asha Bhosle and lyrics were written by famous Anand Bakshi.
