Aas Paas was directed by J. Om Prakash in the year 1981.
The movie stars Dharmendra, Hema Malini and Prem Chopra. The movie is a romantic movie showing the intense love of couples with some challenges of villain like world.Movie starts with Arun Choudhury (Dharmendra) who is just released from the jail after completing his sentence. He remembers his past which was very joyous to him when he was a young, handsome and dashing guy who once meets an attractive lady named Seema (Hema Malini) accidentally. Soon Arun attracted towards her and falls in love with Seema decides to marry her. He also takes Seema to his home to meet his mother (Nirupa Roy). But it is not so easy as seema has a questionable background which do create doubts in the minds of Arun and his mother. Later Arun gets involved in an accident which was a severe one and he is assumed to be dead in it. Seema becomes shock to hear this. She gets near to alcohol and dances in bar in disguise. But once she is raped by a man Prem. On seeing Arun she is overjoyed and thinks not to tell him about his rape and past. But what's more shocking is Prem knows to be Arun's brother in law. Atlast, at climax Arun knows about rape and he kills Prem. Seema is also killed in revenge.
Movie is nice and won several awards. Dharmendra has played his role very fluently. All in all movie is nice and enjoyable.
Music is good and is given by Laxmikant Pyarelal. Songs are sung in beautiful voices of Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, and Mohammad Rafi.
