Movie Review:
The movie stars Raj Kapoor, Sanjay Khan, Sanjeev Kumar, Zeenat Aman and Parveen Babi in lead roles. The movie is a nice story filled with action,adventure,magic and emotion. The movie is a philosophical journey where a boy , named Krishna is caste in lead.Movie starts with Abdullah (Raj Kapoor) who is very poor and lives in a small hut the middle of a desert in Persia. He is a devout Muslim and in desert, he looks after a well so that he can provide water to thirsty travelers. One day his friend named Ameer (Sanjeev Kumar) informs him that Khaleel (Danny Denzongpa) who is a bandit had raided a settlement nearby and killed everyone. But he has left a woman named Yashoda (Farida Jalal) as she was pregnant. Later Ameer gets killed and there wounded Yashoda gives birth to a baby boy and named him Krishna.The story takes a turn when this boy comes in the hands of Abdullah.Read ahead to know how Krishna and Abdullah are first tied to bounds of love and later hatred.
Noe the lady suffering hardships hands over Krishna to Abdullah to take care of him and then she passes away. But Abdullah is afraid of bringing up a Hindu Boy. Soon he overcomes his fears of bringing up a Hindu boy and looks after Krishna as his own. Soon Khaleel’s magician informs him that he will be killed by Krishna just as Bhagwan Shri Krishna was known to have slain Kans. He gets angered at this and all set to kill Krishna. Soon he abducts Krishna and readies him for a sacrifice which will get rid of any threat against him.What happens after? Does Krishna dies or survives? This make the movie interesting. Overall, movie is good and worth watching.
Music is awesome. It is given by Rahul Dev Burman. Songs are sung in beautiful voices of Asha Bhosle, Manna Dey, Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar and Mohammad Rafi.
