The movie stars Parveen Babi, Bharat Bhushan, Birbal, Sunil Dutt in lead roles.The movie is mainly an action film. The movie Darinda came up as a drama packed action movie that revolves around the life of a young man and his struggle to take revenge with the gangster who shattered his life. The story of the movie is pretty ordinary and follows the pattern of typical bollywood movies. Although the story of the movie didn’t had anything substantial to glue the viewers to the screen but the narration of the movie was great. Director Kaushal Bharti did a great job in his very first movie. He maintained a constant pace throughout the course of the movie. Later he directed many successful movies, he was already a successful writer as well.This movie of him was nice, was nominated for awards but was average at Box Office.
Music of the movie is given by Kalyanji and Anandji. Songs are sung by Kishore Kumar,Mohammed Rafi, Asha Bhosle and Mukesh.
