Aasha was directed by J. Om Prakash in the year 1980.
The movie stars Girish Karnad, Jeetendra, Reena Roy in lead roles. The movie is a love family story and the love with others fiancee. Movie tells the story of Aasha (Reena Roy), a famous pop star, who falls for Deepak (Jeetendra), a trucker with a gorgeous voice--who in turn loves his fiancee, Mala (Rameshwari). Soon after their marriage, a terrible accident convinces each of them that the other is dead; Deepak reunites with Aasha, while the now-blind Mala gives birth to a beautiful daughter. Things get even more complicated years later, when fate throws them all together again, and presents them with some difficult choices.Overall, the movie is good. It was appreciated loud among audience and was above average at Box Office.
Music of the movie is given by the great duo Laxmikant Pyarelal. Songs are sung in beautiful voices of Chanchal, Lata Mangeshkar, Mohammad Rafi.
